Tinubulight Programme

Business Eligibility

Tinubulight is open to eligible micro and small enterprises operating across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Eligibility is assessed from the business information, productive energy need and verification records supplied.

Who can apply

Operating business

The applicant should operate a lawful micro or small enterprise with a real and verifiable business location in Nigeria.

Productive energy use

The requested electricity should support business equipment, production, services, storage, customer operations or another legitimate commercial activity.

Reachable applicant

A working email address, reachable phone number and accurate applicant information are required for verification and status communication.

Information required to begin

  • Applicant’s full name, email address and phone number
  • Business name, description, address, state and LGA
  • Business category, number of staff and years in operation
  • Current source of electricity and estimated monthly energy spending
  • CAC registration status, CAC number and TIN where available
  • A realistic energy assessment or appliance list

Verification information that may be requested later

Depending on the application stage, Tinubulight may request a CAC certificate, TIN certificate, NIN slip, accepted identity document, passport photograph, proof of address, bank information, bank statement or other supporting record. Sensitive details and files are submitted through the secure business dashboard rather than public tracking.

Reasons an application may be delayed or declined

  • Materially incomplete, false or inconsistent information
  • An applicant or business location that cannot be reasonably verified
  • A duplicate or abusive submission intended to bypass programme controls
  • An unlawful business activity or a use that falls outside the programme
  • Failure to provide requested verification information within the stated time
  • Technical, equipment, financing or programme constraints that prevent approval
Eligibility is not final approval. Passing an initial check, receiving a calculator recommendation or submitting an application does not guarantee financing, equipment allocation, installation or any particular repayment terms.
